वह उड़ते-उड़ते थक गया,
मगर कहीँ पानी न मिला.
आखिर में उसे एक घड़ा दिखा.
उसमें चुल्लू भर पानी था.
कौआ खुश हो गया.
उसने सोचा कि कंकड़ डालने वाली पुरानी पद्धति अपनाऊँगा,
तो पानी ऊपर आ जाएगा,
और मै पी लूँगा.
कौए के दुर्भाग्य से वह महानगर था, वहाँ कंकड़ नहीं थे.
कौआ मर गया और पानी भाप बनकर उड़ गया.
